Non Chocolate Easter idea's

Easter is just around the corner and here are a couple of cute non chocolate ideas for little ones! I'm doing the paw prints, my Madam 4 will love it after 3 weeks with visitors from the UK I am not sure I have the energy for the orange play doh!
If I'm not too late I am also going to get the plastic eggs from spot light and fill them with pretty hair lackeys and clips, plastic jewelry and a few sweets with the odd mini chocolate egg thrown in for good measure.
What non chocolate gifts do you give at Easter?

Frozen Mint

I love mint or lemon in water, it's so refreshing and as the heat is not going any where (if you live in Perth), what a great way to serve ice to your guest! Mint frozen in the middle or if you cut lemon slice up small you could freeze that into a cube too and they would have a choice.

DIY Gift Wrapping Idea's

I love wrapping gifts (I like pretty cards too) part of giving the gift is making sure its wrapped nicely, its part of the gift. I love watching people's faces when they receive a gift prettily wrapped, they are never sure whether to open it or enjoy the wrapping.
Here are some easy ideas to pretty up your next gift wrap!

What a wonderful way to wrap a child's pressie and they would love it.

These look so pretty and they are just tissue paper with matching bands (cut from different coloured paper and glued or taped on) and a some thin ribbon.  So simple and such a beautiful effect.

Thread five strands of yarn with buttons. (Buttons are a choking hazard for kids under 3.) Wrap each strand around the gift. Tape each one to the back of the package. Add a drop of glue to the back of a few of the buttons to keep the threads secure. If your anything like me I am gaining a rather large collection of random buttons this could put a few to good use!

I'm going to give you the link to this one because the directions are a bit hard to follow but they have pictures on the site which make it a lot easier http://www.thehousethatlarsbuilt.com/2013/02/2-simple-valentines-day-gift-wrapping.html

Another simple idea and yet makes it special that you have added the extra touches yourself.

Baby Shower - DIY Building Blocks

Back from holidays and my little Miss One has been building towers with blocks and then knocking them down and killing herself laughing all morning, while I pack away all the bits and do my 10 billion loads of washing (why is it even though I wash while on holidays I still have so many loads to do when I get home?).
Which was why when I saw this I loved it. Make your own block set at a baby shower and sign you name on it. You can grab the set on Etsy for $75 but there are plenty of crafty people out there who I think could put this together a lot cheaper. What a beautiful gift for Mum and Bub.
