Candy Edible Playdoh

Do your kids insist on eating the playdoh? My Miss 14mth old loves the stuff and now I have found this Candy Playdoh!! Go for it kid!!

How to Make Edible Play Doh

1/4 cup corn syrup

3 cups powdered sugar

1/2 teaspoon salt

1/4 stick (1/4 cup) butter, softened and cut into pieces

1 teaspoon vanilla extract

Food coloring (optional)

Step 1

Take the butter out of the refrigerator. It needs to be soft, but not melted. Cut the butter into small pieces. Place butter in a microwave safe mixing bowl and heat for a few seconds.

Step 2

Measure and add to the softened butter the corn syrup and vanilla. Then add the salt.

Step 3

One cup at a time, add the confectioner's sugar. You might want to have the children do the first two cups, because by the third cup, it will be a bit hard to mix.

Step 4

After the mixing gets difficult, knead the dough with your hands. Be sure to have wipes and towels nearby!

Step 5

Divide the candy clay into sections. Add food coloring to create your own vibrant colors. Now let the kids eat and nibble as they create with the homemade candy clay!

This is a fun activity for all involved. Be sure the kids don't eat too much and they brush their teeth really good that night!

Tips & Warnings

This edible clay should not be used more than once.

Do not give huge portions out to each child.
